We Are Temporary – Give Me More
From the 2016 debut album “Crossing Over” (out now via Trisol)
What happens when a male artist writes a song that exorcises his most violent, sexual, and chauvinistic demons, and then teams up with one of the world’s most avant-garde and staunchly feminist film directors?
Part chauvinistic taunt, part withering self-flagellation, We Are Temporary’s new song “Give Me More” holds a mirror up to the male gaze. Partnering with feminist director and fellow Brooklynite, Alina Landry-Rancier, the result is a super-edit of Landry-Rancier’s celebrated 3-part film series “Kiddie Riders”. A set of experimental short films, “Kiddie Riders” explores the taboo themes of childhood innocence and pre-pubescent sexual discovery.
