Il progetto visionario di Chris Corner annuncia la release globale di due album complementari che esplorano le correnti emotive e le trasformazioni sonore dei suoi ultimi lavori.
Il prossimo 22 maggio 2026, IAMX, l’ormai storico progetto di Chris Corner, pubblicherà per la prima volta su tutte le piattaforme di streaming e digital download due dischi “compagni”: UNMASK EP e IAMIXED: Reworks Fault Lines Albums 1 and 2.
Queste pubblicazioni, precedentemente disponibili solo come edizioni fisiche limitate durante i tour di Fault Lines del 2025 — UNMASK in Europa e IAMIXED in Nord America — fanno finalmente il loro debutto digitale, svelando materiale inedito e reinterpretazioni dell’era Fault Lines a un pubblico globale.
UNMASK EP: L’emotività allo stato grezzo
L’UNMASK EP è descritto come un viaggio nelle correnti emotive sotterranee dell’era più recente di IAMX. Composto da B-side, un rework e una traccia ri-contestualizzata, l’EP mette a nudo l’anima del progetto.
Tra i brani di punta troviamo “Artificial Innocence (UNMASK Mix)”, una versione embrionale del singolo, qui presentata in una veste più intima guidata dal pianoforte, e “There Will Be Times When I Will Need To Hurt You”, che Corner definisce il nucleo emotivo del disco.
Secondo l’artista, queste tracce erano come “orfane”: non appartenevano alla famiglia di Fault Lines, ma non sembravano nemmeno far parte del lavoro successivo.

L’album ricostruisce i brani di Fault Lines attraverso la collaborazione con una vasta gamma di artisti.
Tra i collaboratori figurano il produttore nominato ai Grammy Ryan McCambridge (come Mimetic Hexes), il duo harshwave Holy Braille, Carrellee (membro della live band di IAMX) e gli artisti goth-pop clubdrugs.
Interessante notare la presenza di due artisti elettronici emergenti, Damn The Witch Siren e Nigen, i cui contributi sono stati selezionati tramite un concorso di remix dedicato ai fan
A completare l’opera ci sono due rivisitazioni curate dallo stesso IAMX: un arrangiamento orchestrale di “War Of Words” e una reinterpretazione modulare onirica di “In Bondage”.

L’uscita di questi due album conferma la natura in continua evoluzione di IAMX, un progetto che da oltre vent’anni esplora temi legati all’identità, alla salute mentale e al desiderio esistenziale
Corner, già fondatore degli Sneaker Pimps, continua a mescolare sperimentazione elettronica, energia punk e testi vulnerabili.
Oltre alle uscite digitali, IAMX sarà protagonista di numerosi festival in Europa durante l’estate e l’autunno del 2026, inclusi il prestigioso M’era Luna Festival in Germania, l’Infest nel Regno Unito e il primo show in assoluto del progetto in Portogallo all’Extramuralhas.

Chris Corner’s visionary project announces the global digital release of two companion albums that explore the raw emotional undercurrents and sonic transformations of his most recent works.
On May 22, 2026, IAMX will release two companion records on all streaming and digital platforms for the first time: UNMASK EP and IAMIXED: Reworks Fault Lines Albums 1 and 2.
Previously available only as limited physical editions during the 2025 Fault Lines tours—UNMASK in Europe and IAMIXED in North America—these releases are finally making their long-awaited digital debut, revealing unreleased and reimagined material to a global audience.
UNMASK EP: Raw Emotional Undercurrents
The UNMASK EP is described as a journey into the subterranean emotional currents of the most recent IAMX era.
Composed of B-sides, a rework, and a recontextualized track, the EP baring the soul of the project.
Key tracks include “Artificial Innocence (UNMASK Mix),” an early version of the single that unfolds as an intimate, piano-driven take, and “There Will Be Times When I Will Need To Hurt You,” which Corner identifies as the EP’s emotional core.
Corner explains that these tracks felt like “orphans” that did not quite belong to the Fault Lines family but didn’t feel part of the next project either.
Fans will also recognize the opening track, “Grass Before The Scythe (ArtBleedsMoney Rework),” which was first introduced in a 2025 music video.
IAMIXED: A Collaborative Metamorphosis
While UNMASK focuses on reflection, IAMIXED: Reworks Fault Lines Albums 1 and 2 represents transformation.
The album reconstructs the songs of Fault Lines through collaborations with a diverse range of artists.
The list of collaborators includes Grammy-nominated producer Ryan McCambridge (as Mimetic Hexes), harshwave duo Holy Braille, live band member Carrellee, and goth-pop artists clubdrugs.
The release also features two emerging electronic artists, Damn The Witch Siren and Nigen, whose contributions were selected through an IAMX fan remix contest.
Corner himself rounds out the release with an orchestral arrangement of “War Of Words” and a dreamlike modular reinterpretation of “In Bondage.”

The release of these two albums confirms the ever-evolving nature of IAMX, a project that for over two decades has explored themes of identity, sexuality, mental health, and existential longing.
Corner, the founder and former member of trip-hop icons Sneaker Pimps, continues to fuel electronic experimentation with punk energy and unflinchingly vulnerable lyrics.
Following the digital releases, IAMX will perform at several European festivals throughout the Summer and Fall of 2026.
Highlights include the M’era Luna Festival in Germany, a headlining slot at Infest in the UK, and the project’s first-ever performance in Portugal at the Extramuralhas festival.
