I Cabaret Grey sono una band polacca, gelida e ossessiva (Grey Lights). La (notevole) voce femminile è potente e ammaliante, non solo ricordando la Siouxsie del periodo JuJu, ma anche lo stile Yabanci/Cadra Ash. La band si dedica a un Death Rock spettrale e scheletrico (Sahrah, notevole, molto alla Corpus Delicti, e una delle track migliori del cd, insieme alla tribaleggiante title track e a The Reason, che inizia con un intro liquido e angosciante, nella miglior tradizione, che poi lascia il posto a un supremo basso in primo piano. Brava la singer, che passa anche a toni più spettrali e sciamanici! Cabaret Grey è un intermezzo che ricorda dei Virgin Prunes più liquidi ed eterei. Chiude World of Glass, funesta e drammatica, con riff gelidi e spettrali, e un angosciante sax.
Davvero una buona band! Ottima capacità di song-writing e di tecnica strumentale, e notevole “stile personale” pur non distaccandosi dai canoni tradizionali del genere. Vale davvero la pena dargli un ascolto.
