Siamo qui a parlare di una band che se ne infischia delle mode e resta legata agli anni 80
con un sound post-punk/deathrock di ineguagliabile e grande impatto.
I membri non sono dei parvenu, provengono da Frosinone e vantano alle spalle un passato invidiabile a livello internazionale: Fabiano con i Chants of Maldoror e Spiritual Bats, Tony con gli Idol lips (unica band punk italiana ad aver suonato in Turchia) e Mirko con gli Human Disease.
I Sacred Legion giungono all’esordio con brani degni del più rigoroso “keeping the tradition alive” e partecipano a diversi concerti sia in Italia che in Europa. Inoltre, in compagnia delle più celebri band darkwave contemporanee, contribuiscono alla compilation di Darkitalia “Sparkles in the dark vol. 5” con il gioiellino in esclusiva “Purify”.
L’oscuro e tanto atteso “The Silent Lineage” esce per un’etichetta ben nota per la pubblicazione di dischi di altissimo livello, la polacca Bat-cave Production. L’album inizia con un’introduzione dalle sonorità arcane e accattivanti “Flower Phantoms” e, proprio come un’araba fenice, la band risorge per poi spiegare completamente le ali con la particolarissima “Back to Nowhere”, si prosegue con capolavori radiofonici già ben noti al pubblico darkitaliano come “Dig Me No Grave” e “A Taste Of Turmoil”. Sfioriamo vertici sublimi con “Black Sun Ritual” per arrivare ad hit come “Hole In The Heart”, toccherà a “Shards” poi serrare i cancelli di questo vero e proprio assalto deathroll degno di nomi come Misfits e Christian Death. Tout court, il disco del mese con la D maiuscola.
